*Every owner at the Kahana Outrigger was asked what their favorite places and experiences were on the island of Maui. Following is their responses with links and tips to help our guests connect with them. Aloha!

What is your favorite place to eat on Maui?
Dinner –     I have several places to eat first is the Hula Grill at Whaler’s Village followed by the Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lahaina, Dukes is nice if you want to show off to your friends. Fleetwoods on Front Street has a great place in Lahaina great food and views.

Which restaurant has the best views?
I feel the Hula Grill has the best ships coming and going as well as the sail flying.

Are there any must see places you recommend for a persons first time to Maui?
Maui itself is the BEST PLACE NEW and old interest all over the Island. Lots of people love the volcano. Be sure to dress warm as it is very cold up there.

How do you get around? Car, bicycle, scooter, bus?
Most us a rental car however maui does have a bus line that is used a lot.

What attractions are nearest to your home?
The best is the sunset as well as snorkeling in Honokeona Cove with lots of sea turtles.    Hard to get into but worth the risk.


What time of year do you enjoy being in Maui? 
Maui is great all year long. Events change from year to year and can be found on Maui Lifestyle News

Are there local events/traditions you experience?
The parades in Lahaina, boat festivals which can be found published in the local papers

Who is the best place to rent snorkel equipment from or should we bring our own?
Snorkeling gear is everywhere. There is a Snorkel Bob’s on the corner by our condo that has very reasonable prices. Also check out Boss Snorkel.

Where can I eat the best sushi? 
The China Boat is the best sushi and it is in walking distance of the Outrigger.

Do you have board games at your place? 
I have dvds in all bedrooms and in the living room.

Where have you hiked before? 
The walks on the beaches are the best.

What unit is yours? 
My unit is 2B2 which is a 3 bedroom, second floor unit and is available to rent throughout the year. Check rates and availability at VRBO.
